Bringing carseat to hospital?

We don't ahve a car, but intend on taking a taxi home from the hospital. Should we bring the carseat with us when we first go in? Or should DH go home and get it before we're meant to go home?

Get DH to bring it in when you need it - there is precious little storage space in hospital.

Agree with BikeRunSki - don't take it with you first, DH will have plenty of time after to go and get it.
