It could well be I'd had a show going on for 5 or 6 days, but my first real "this is going to happen soon" sign was period type back ache (and DD was here 6 hours later).

Try and get some rest if you can, and good luck

Well, contractions feel like period pains so you're definitely getting there! I'm 37+ and have had a couple over the past few days. It's hard to remember, but I think I had them for a few weeks before I went into labour with DD, so maybe just your body limbering up but a sign that your on your way.
