Im 7 weeks pregnant, and my partner has been fine about the pregnancy. We were going to get out own place and do it all properly

then last night he dropped the bombshell that he doesnt want to live with me and when i asked if he wants our baby he wouldnt even look at me and answer! My world has turned upside down...what do i do xxx

If you don't mind me asking, how old are you and your boyfriend? If you are living at home, would you parents be supportive?

hello im nearly 23 and he is nearly 24.
ive been staying at this for over 2months as i havent been gettng on with my parents who are extremely unsupportive about the pregnancy. x

Sorry to hear you are having to go through this. In your situation i would be sitting down with my partner and talking about everything. You need to know where you stand and empty promises will not help. You then need to look at all your options and decide what you want.

so sorry to hear about what you're going through. Sounds as if you really need to pin your boyfriend down as scratchet says. It might be that he's just having an initial panic and will come to his senses soon - I know plenty of people whose other halves panicked initially and later grew into the Dad role.

I really hope it works out and don't have any terribly helpful advice to offer except to say that even if your boyfriend and parents aren't being supportive, there will be people out there who can help. I'd also try and talk to your parents, your fella might not be around but they always will so its in your interest to get on with them, you'll be glad you did, becoming a mum makes your mum see you in a whole new light and its a good thing xx

Being sulky and turning his widdle facey from the 'issue' won't make it go away. I'd try talking to him again, saying that you appreciate it's life changing and he may have had a scared moment the other day but it is something that needs to be talked about. He's going to be a father, cold feet or no, and does need to start getting his head around the idea.

As a "fxxxing" man can I add that of course you need to speak to your bf. But rather than saying "I need to talk to you about this" it would be better to say "We need to talk about this" so that he realises he's involved in this too (even if he doesn't want to be).
