I'm currently 33 weeks and am getting tired (literally) of waking before 5 every morning and needing to eat!!

This is my fourth pregnancy and I never had this before!!! WHAT'S GOING ON??????????????

Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

I've had this in the first half of my 3 pregnancies, although usually earlier in the morning at 3 am ish. I make s snack (sandwich, piece of fruit) and put it next to my bed.

Yes, should have brought the two leftover jam donuts upstairs last night

I'm still waiting for my stomach to get the message that they've been sent down there!

HEY S T O M A C H...... there's two donuts down there..... not one..... but TWO!! C'MON!!!!!!!!!!!

Have a big glass of milk - that always fills me up quickly. Then go back to bed if you can!

Hi heinzsight,

I'm awake with the munchies this early as well.

I had this with my first pregnancy as well.

Bagels are my top tip, they're really filling.

audreyraines · 25/06/2009 06:43

mmmm, bagels yum. i find it's always something keeping me awake, munchies/heartburn/need to pee/need to vomit, i think i will actually get more sleep after this one is born!

trixymalixy · 25/06/2009 06:50

I had two dinners tonight as well and I'm still awake hungry!!!

I must have stretched my stomach!!

Longtalljosie · 25/06/2009 07:05

Yes, I'm getting this nearly all the time - it didn't happen today but does seem to happen regularly on the weekend, when I tend to eat less. So I'm experimenting with eating a bit more in the evening, to see if it stops the 4.30am muesli-run...

dal21 · 25/06/2009 08:11

Hello Heinz.

Bet the donuts tasted great didnt they? Yum!

Gromit78 · 25/06/2009 08:31

I must confess I have recently become like a cat, all I seem to do is eat and sleep nowadays.

I do get really hungry at night, but I try to force myself to sleep even when hungry because I don't want my stomach thinking it get get it's own way and beg for food every night. There is no good reason to eat at night as I don't need the energy so my stomach will have to wait.

I have no donuts left!!!! I think the morning's 5am munchie attack will be sated with Cheerios.
