maternity clothes for the 3 trimester

I got a few tops and some really comfy trousers when I was about 16 weeks - now I'm 27 weeks, the tops are all too short and I've got 13 weeks to go!

I'm not sure where to get any new clothes, don't want to spend too much, and live in a small town with no shops that do maternity ranges - so would prefer online stuff.

I've looked at those bands that go over the bump, but am not sure about them - how they stay up is my main concern.

Any advice?

thanks in advance!

go on ebay - lots of bargains

eBay is the answer, bid in the last few mins only and you will get real steals. Loads of summer tops in a much bigger size will be loose enough over the bump.

Also, bump bands are really good and not expensive, you can get 3 for £10 from new look, they stay up due to being narrower at the top and wider at the hip and elasticated.

Or, you could buy v cheap long vest tops - new look or H&M - in white and black and stick with your current tops with these under.

Good luck!

thanks! I had no idea New Look did maternity stuff - will probably try out those bands then. Am not a fan of ebay - it frightens me a bit to be honest - so will try those new look bands

If you're about to become a new Mum you should really get over your eBay fear - it's a God send. To be honest, I don't think you'd get many dodgy folk selling 2nd hand maternity clothes... but check their feedback score (under the seller info, right side of screen) and look for those with 100% feedback, and from more than just a few folk (see Detailed feedback to check this). Then only ever buy using PayPal (I use hubby's so never had to set account up, but must be fairly easy).

Otherwise see if there's an NCT sale in your area, great stuff you can lay hands on and v cheap.
