Leaking fluid in early pregnancy - not blood but not clear either... anyone experienced similar?

I leaked something on 4th june and have had it again today (12+6). GP says no appts available but feel a bit silly going to a&e cos of excess fluid. NHS Direct think it might be an infection with me but that baby's probably fine.
anyone experienced similar? it's thick, about 1/2 teaspoon full and slight tinge to it but definitely not blood. do I go to a&e or not?

are you sure it isn't urine?

It's discharge. It's normal and can vary during pregnancy. Pop to the GP though and get them to do a swab incase it's an infection though.

I have this, its a mixture of piss and discharge . Hopefully yours is the same and nothing more sinister. Nice it isn't but not dangerous.

It definitely was not urine. I held a tissue and know what urine looks like, smells like and where it comes from. GP had no availability hence my post. The hospital think it's possibly an infection so will find out next week.

Sounds like normal vaginal discharge to me.
Lots of women get loads when they are pregnant and it is is whiteish/creamy looking, doesn't smell and there is no itching I would not worry.

if it's thick and there is only 1/2 tsp i would definitely agree that it's just normal discharge
if it was amniotic fluid it would be like water, not thick

so in answer to your question, no, i wouldn't go to a&e.
if you are still worried though make an appt with your midwife.

fwiw a GP cannoit turn you away if you demand an emergency appt. they have to see you that day. (i don't think you need one for this though)

Saw the gynae team at the hospital who were happy to see me and put my mind at ease, especially after mc in march (the GP's at my surgery don't do understanding/sympathy). If it was normal discharge like normal days I wouldn't give it a second thought but I know what happened today (flowed very quickly, was pink and had cramping all morning) has only happened once before and better to be safe than sorry.

I involuntarily wee all the time sometimes and I really can't feel it. Recently it has dripped onto the floor and I had no idea I was actually doing it until I saw the puddle.

I understand why you are worried if you have had a recent miscarriage, hopefully they will put your mind at rest.

Oh, so the tinge is pink?
Well that I probably would get checked too, but I'm sure it will be ok.

Sorry - I know I left out alot of info in my original message, was just writing it really quickly as my 2yo was trashing the place.

I actually rang NHS Direct and my maternity unit at the hospital, both of whom advised me to go in and seeing as i'm past the 12wk mark I would be 'fast-tracked' through to gynae so didnt have to wait and got to hear the heartbeat (eventually! was hiding...) so all was good and I can now enjoy my weekend. Won't know anything for sure til I get the blood results next week and also the scan on monday but the nurse said she wasn't worried. I also had a few probs with my stomach muscles splitting with DS and that could be alot to do with the pain I've been having today although to be honest it did feel more like period cramping.

Thanks for your concern fluffy . My pelvic floor is beyond repair.(Well apart from having an actual repair) I have a grade three prolapse which is managed with two ring pessaries. Since the prolapse has been more effectively managed (have had it 7.5 years, since DD's birth) the kink in my urethra has straightened out leading to incontinence. I am pg though, which I believe always makes it worse.
