Moses Basket - on stand or floor?

We're borrowing a moses basket from a friend and I had expected we'd get a rocking stand for it. DH is worried it might tip over. I think most people that we know who used one had it on the floor - but their floors were carpeted, ours are just floorboards. So, should we get a stand? Is it dangerous? Is it better to have a stationary one rather than a rocker? Would baby be cold on drafty Victorian floor boards (due end of July)?

Thank you

i had a rocking stand and a non rocker. Tbh, you probably will hardly ever use it. Mine stayed in the cot and dd3 was only in it for a week or two.

floor would be fine btw

Floor. They're usually well-lined so no worries about draughts

On a stand will be much easier for lifting baby in and out. It won't tip over, unless you have a very large bouncy dog running round!

floor tbh.

I had mine on a stand (had a rocker and a stationary one we were given) we have two dogs and one is an extremely bouncy nutter type dog

we put ours in the corner of the room with a wall on two sides and the sofa on one side so the bottom bit was accessible IYSWIM. Either way it wouldn't tip over at all.

Floor will be fine by the way.
