pink show after membrane sweep, is labour on the way?

Hi every1,
Im 40 weeks+2 and the midwife did a sweep this morning but the midwife did say my cervix is still quite high and she cudnt quite reach it but the sweep may still have helped.
After about five hours I started getting a light pink discharge, im getting all excited because im hoping the sweep helped but is it unlikely as she said my cervix is still high?

Anyone had a similar experience?

Did nothing for me when i had a sweep at 40 +1 and 41 + 3 I was induced at 40 + 11.

Sorry probaly not what you want to hear.

I hate to say but almost everyone who has a sweep with get some pink or bloodstained discharge whether or not they go in to labour from the sweep.
