I need an operation to my hand, it is going to be under an arm block rather than a general. Just discovered i am 10 weeks pregnant with 2nd child. i need the op before the baby is born to i go ahead or not? is it safe?

I can't tell you if it is safe, you need to talk to your doctor. They will make the call if the op has to be done before the baby is born.

FWIW, I had major abdominal surgery when 31 wks pg and I had a general anaesthetic. That baby is now 3 yo and suffering chicken pox at the moment
