viability scan today and im really scared :-(

hi all
have scan today to check viability of baby and im petrified .
Have had 3mcs in past including a missed mc in dec so mw has got me a scan for today. I should be 8+5 today and we are checking to see if baby has a heartbeat. I dont have the same doom n gloom feeling i had last time but obviously could go either way. Just wish it was easy for me to keep a baby as i dont know if i can cope with having another angel

Good luck - I had two m/c and I went for two early scans with this baby at 6 weeks and 9 weeks and .....now I'm at 25 weeks....so there is a good chance that you'll get good news.....

Whatever you think, it is best to know one way or another....tell them how nervous you are - and just say, please tell me immediately if there is a heartbeat - then once that bit is over with then you can relax and enjoy looking at your baby.

Crossed fingers and legs for you.....

im being stupid cos i asked for scan but now im thinking i dont want it...just worried i suppose although its better to know sooner rather than later etc...why can i be one of thos epeople who just sail thru pg with no worriesx etc..

Nemo/Mishi - remember me from TTC after miscarriage thread? I'm so glad to hear you're pregnant. went through exactly the same as you about 5 weeks back (I was so paranoid I made them scan me at 6.5 weeks) and felt just as nervous as you. Just do it. You will feel better knowing and there is every chance it will be good news. Keeping fingers crossed for you.

just fyi I am now at 11+2 weeks, have had another scan (last week) and everything's fine. must admit I didn't really believe in it till the second scan though...

beachy u usual get 12wk dating scan but they have changed policy so u only get one scan early on and one at 20wks..
