Inspired by the food restrictions in pregnancy thread...

I am just about to sink into a warm (not hot!) bath with a face-pack and hair-pack. Then I will slip into fresh, ironed (for once) pyjamas, have a glass of ice-cold shandy and catch up on The Apprentice on IPlayer whilst lounging in bed.

Does anyone have any slightly more inspiring self-treating regimes?

There are quite a few offers on at the moment, I have had a pregnancy massage which was lovely, enjoy pregnany yoga, getting your feet rubbed, getting a manicure/pedicure, having a haircut and latest issue of mother and baby has free haircut offer. All of this and plenty of chocolate and meeting friends for lunch Hope this helps X

I had a M+S jam doughnut!

Swimming is good too.

When I was pg with dd, I used to run myself a bath, make myself a huge bowl of strawberries and melon, and lie back, watching my bump dancing away.

Now, not so much. Dd is now 2, and I don't even have time to think about this new baby, let alone treat myself. I ran myself a bath on Saturday evening and dd got in with me. Not quite the same.

I was just thinking the same Pinkjenny - def a bit harder to treat yourself when you already have a toddler running round after you! Wonder if I can teach him to do footrubs? - he already likes "helping" me put body lotion on my legs (and the sheets, carpet, his clothes...)

I buy stuff. Lots and lots of stuff.

GentlyDidIt · 10/06/2009 21:25

Ooh some new ideas there, thank you...

I have a new one! My DD (6) asked me earlier if I would like a "weather massage" on my back... I let her go ahead and she rubbed my back whilst pretending to give a weather report! Hailstones up and down the back, sunshine strokes on the sides... Must say the rainbow on the shoulders felt particularly good.

Twee, but true!

xxhunnyxx · 10/06/2009 22:26

gently oh my god ur DD sounds adorable!
My treat tends to just be things like cake n also enjoy a nice relaxing bath with candles and relaxing music followed by a footrub and toenail painting.

Swimming, bath, Ben and Jerry's icecream, not having to hold stomach in like I've done for the past 32 years.....

Unfortunately the list of treats for after pregnancy is much much longer reach own feet, go on rollercoaster etc.
