where can I find a maternity bra for massive boobs but with a small (30 or 32inch) back?

I'm pg with my third baby and for the last two pregnancies put up with 34 inch bras because it was all I could get.

I'm so fed up with them now as they don't fit properly and just want something that fits!

I'm really annoyed that M&S and mothercare only start at 34 - what do women with smaller backs do?

Any suggestions that don't cost the earth? I'd rather not buy online as I really want to try on for a good fit.

I have the same problem as you- but there is now hope! I am a breastfeeding 30GG but shot up to 30J when pregnant. I swear by bravissimo and found them really helpful. If you want to shop online go to their website or figleaves- I used to go into Bravissimo and get measured and if they didn't have what I liked I would buy from Figleaves. I personally find Freya the best fit for us larger ladies! I didn't really go for maternity bras, though. I wanted the support and thought maternity bras were so ugly. Good luck.

Definitely Bravissimo. It's really worth getting fitted by them if you can but if you can't get to a store, they do a good returns service and will do fitting advice by phone. And they do a really wide range of sizes too.

Also try Sainsburys if you have one near you. I went in ours the other day and they had nursing bras in large cup sizes (I'm a 34G so not sure what back size they started at) and they £10 for a 2 pack.

We have a Debenhams in Plymouth though, where I have bought Freya bras before. I was hoping for something without wires as I'll probably start sleeping in bras soon.

Hi Meemar. I was a 32FF before i even got pregnant with DS2 (now 27 weeks pregnant and a 34G). Bravissimo and Figleaves, both online are my saviour even when not pregnant but evenmore so now i'm in the club again! A great selection of softcup maternity and feeding bras. Dreading to think how big I'm going to be in another 3 months time or even worse, when the milk comes in. DH delighted though.... good luck

I bought mine from Mothercare but the brand is Panache. They are quite pretty and lacy as well, not the usual plain black/white.

I went to have my boobs measured at Debenhams (for the first time in 10 years and was horrified to discover that all this time I thought I was a 36C, am actually a 32FF! And on trying Freya bras on in Debenhams I discovered that I'm more like a 32G. So I've just bought 3 Freya Rosalie nursing bras (no wires) brand new off ebay for not much more than the full price of one from a shop.

Can you try some on in a shop and do the same? HTH!

I just got 2 HotMilk bras in 30F from www.NursingBra.co.uk

Although not quite as big as most people on here (32D normally, 32E now and 14 weeks) I also found Hot Milk to be good (really supportive and pretty) although not sure what size they go up to! Bravissimo also. I have actually bought a couple of M&S 34E and wear them on tightest setting as I think ribcages are supposed to expand a bit - so I thought I might grow into them and they are actually just about okay at the mo... I am currently 30G and got my nursing bras at John Lewis - they fit absolutely perfectly.

My main problem is access to shops that do a full range of sizes, so that I can try on. Once I'm sure of my size I'll be happy to order online.

I'll try in our local mothercare and see if they do Panache bras down here. Failing that I'm going to be in London in August so if I can manage til then I'll get myself to a Bravissimo or John Lewis.

I know you said you didn't want to buy online - but I have found the seamless maternity bra on jojomaman site really good - and as comes in S, M or L rather than specific sizes takes being measured out of the equation! Only £10 - £9 with discount code from mums net.
The postage to return a bra only came to a pound - which is what you are saving with the discount code!

I went to bravissimo last week - and found all the bras very uncomfy - also 30 chest - but baby pushing out on ribs.. the lady recommended the crossback bra from american apparel (also does online shopping) for me - good as comes in S, M or L. It is not hugely supportive, but very comfy - also only £10 each and might mean you can last the next few weeks till you are up in London?

Alternatively there are the NCT maternity/nursing ones online, but not cheap at £25+. They used to do free postage and returns on bras so you just order all around your potential size and send them back. They're not the most flattering but one of the few styls I could find to fit. (32G pre pregnancy!)
