Spotting at 4 months - is this normal, what should I do??

I'm 4 months tomorrow and have woken up this morning with some spotting, has anyone else had this?Ii'm really worried!!!

Do you have a midwife you can phone? Or Early Pregnancy Unit? Bleeding during pregnancy should always be checked out. It could just be breakthrough bleeding, or cervical erosion (eg. caused after having sex) but you should get it checked.

I called her and she said to take it easy for today and if it gets any heavier or continues then to call her again. Thanks again.
