What were your first signs of pregnancy before the BFP result?

Mine are always sore boobs

A sense of smell rivaled only by blood hounds.

Extremely sore freezing cold boobs
Mad mental hormonal mood swings and crying (which I didn't understand because I didn't know I was pg).
Crampy feeling as if af about to start.

Will never forget the sore boobs though, felt as if I had severe joggers nipple. Only way to describe was as if I'd ran a marathon, braless, with my 36dd nips rubbing off a hessian sack!

Unexpected tiredness before af is due
Reduced appetite - especially for chocolate
Heightened sense of smell

Fizzy nipples!

Nips felt like they were dipped in lemonade and sprinkled in sherbet!

A kind of scratchy burrowing sensation in the womb area.

Feeling really sick and only being able to sort myself out by eating something.

Had been trying to get pg for over a year and I still didn't catch on!

Had what I thought was period pain too

First sign (in hindsight) was going off Diet Coke and bleeding sore gums. Also had what I thought were period pains and was convinced I was about to come on! Must be lucky because I never once suffered from sore boobs or nips!

Needing to go for a pee (or 2) in middle of night - never usually need to, but when pg, regular as clockwork, even before period is due.

Also bleeding gums when cleaning teeth!

constant metallic taste and the super sense of smell, sudden aversion to wine

With DTDs I was nauseaus from 3 days after conception but I am not sure if that was nerves after TTC for the very first time.

With DD3 I didn't even relise I was late until I got the metalic taste (whcih I didn't get with DTDs)

Sick, sick, sick thought I had food poisoning. Sore boobs, split trousers (this happened twice) thought I might need to go on diet!!! strange taste in mouth, intense sense of smell. sudden dislike of coffee and falling asleep on the sofa every evening after work at 6pm. Took the test and bingo blue line appeared.

Sore boobs and being sick at the sight of a frying pan (v embarassing vomiting in asda homeware dept- dh offered to clean it up )

The smell of melted cheese made me reach (usually that'll make me hungry)

Plus I cried like a little girl for days (more than usual PMT tears)

Oh and wanting to sleep....LOTS!!

I had a nasty cold virus this time and my nose would bleed! I NEVER get that.

(I can't own up to the metallic taste as my nose was blocked with the cold.)

Also, like a previous poster, sick at the sight of a frying pan (actually nauseaous seeing the word 'frying'.

Coffee smelled like ciggy smoke.

Headache.

strange feelings in my abdomen, ranging from pain to a scratchy, fizzy, tickly feeling that made me want to laugh out loud.

tendency to get rather cross.

I kind of 'just knew' but had been trying for a while and convinced myself i was pregnant every month so tried to tell myself this might just be the same.

when I had a glass of wine it felt like my abdomen was made of lead - just wrong and poisoned. the next morning I had a BFP.

Very, very tingly boobs (oh how I wish I could feel that sensation now!)

This time really bad heartburn was the giveaway. DH said he already knew what the result was going to be before I took the test.

starving hungry in the night, could not sleep until I ate

My boobs were boiling hot to touch and sore nipples that doubled in size and never stopped sticking out v. Also tiredness.

The first time I was pg it ended in miscarriage but I had every single symptom in the book - constant weeing, metallic taste, tingly boobs etc. The next, which ended with my DD, I had absolutely NO symptoms at all. Have just found out I'm pg again and again have NO symptoms. Just thought this might reassure some people in the 2WW that you can't always spot things

I have to say though the main giveaway was my temperature chart which then made me look out for other symptoms.

I was freezing cold at night but with hot nipples...!

An uncontrolable addiction to crisps - I ate about 4 packets in a row one evening
