Im 38+5 weeks and since last night ive had a constant achey/period pain type feeling in lower back and sometimes stomach. had a few BH but not contractions . Also had slight diariohha (bad sp LOL!)
This is my 4th labour but im still not sure. DS1 waters broke 1st so I knew contractions would follow or be induced, DS2 was induced as he was stillborn & DS3 woke with definated contractions.
Trying NOT to get my hopes up still cant help it.
Any guesses?

Did not want to leave this unanswereed - Make sure it is not uti and drink loads of water, otherwise - yep sounds like it could be.

Having said that I had several days of is it / isn't it with my 2nd and 3rd labours, contractions and all. I think that sometimes when your body has been through it all before, it can spend much time in "early" labour. Does anything make it better or worse?

not really, went to tesco earlier and it wasnt as bad but thought it was also cause I was taking my mind off of it a bit.
Last week I had a few of what I thought were irregular contractions but they died down and it obviously wasnt labour.

I just wish there was a way of knowing when it will happen....im really not patient at the best of times LOL

Hi Exactly the same, am 10 days over, and woke up this morning (at 2 ish) having definite but irregular contractions, which have stopped now, so feeling really fed up, surely it can't be that much longer can it???

Hi im now 6 days over still having these frigging cramps and sharp pains low down but no further forward.
To make it worse my phone has never stopped calls and txts 'is there no movement yet??, 'no signs' i know people are just concerned but its getting to me now, as if i wudnt tell em if i had baby.!!!!!!
Just wanna ask while im on, did anyone else have these pains, cramps, loose bm's for over 10 days without labour starting???
Thanks and sorry for the twine xx

Hi

Can I join too!

I'm 38+4 today. I've been having crampy period type pains for about a week now. Have had diarrhoea for ages though so not even noticing that now.

I read ina book that period like pains and a feeling of pressure on bowels and that general area were pre-labour signs. but then it helpfully said labour could be imminent or as far as 4 weeks away so who knows if anythign wil happen soon.

I thought I leaked a bit of amniotic fluid this morning but nothing has happened since so maybe it was just pee .
