FYI - Problems with Kiddicare order

Well, that's just charming. I just had to cancel my travel system order through Kiddicare. We ordered it in mid-April, with a shipping date of 30 April. Then the shipping date got moved to 20 May (without any notice to us), when it STILL didn't show up, I called them and after a long (and rather annoying) conversation, was told that their buyer had spoken to Graco and they would be getting in a shipment Friday and it would be with us either Monday or Tuesday at latest. So this morning, I called Kiddicare to verify that it would be delivered today and was told "oh yes, it left kiddicare yesterday and will be delivered today." Great, I thought. WRONG!!!! By 4:20pm it still hadn't showed, so we called Kiddicare once again and was told the shipping date had AGAIN been moved back - this time not until after 10 June!! And AGAIN with no warning from Kiddicare at all!! I explained that one of their reps had said on the phone this morning that it had been shipped and was supposed to be delivered today, so obviously I was confused. And she told me "Sorry, but the computer system shows that nobody has accessed your account since last week!" So, the girl I spoke to this morning out hadn't even looked at my account!! GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR So.... we cancelled the order. Now we have to wait 3 to 12 days for the money to go back into our account before we can order another travel system from somewhere else. I am beyond angry! That's it. Kiddicare has completely lost my business - we will not be shopping there again ever. I can't believe all this hassle - AND I stayed home 3 times all day waiting for a delivery that never came, as they don't bother to advise you if the shipping dates change! I will definitely be filling out a complaint to them.

Please beware if you buy from Kiddicare - the woman I spoke to said it's their policy that if shipping dates change, they do not advise the buyer. They expect you to call if it doesn't show up and find out that way. What a rotten way to deal with customers.

I have to put my twopence worth in and say Kiddicare have been fabulous every time I have used them. Obviously what's happened to you is very annoying, but I wouldn't say it was representative of the company on the whole

trixymalixy · 26/05/2009 17:02

I have to agree with littlelamb, every time I have used Kiddicare the service has been excellent. They normally text you when the order is going to be delivered.

It does sound like you have had a complete nightmare, but this isn't the normal service from them.

Disenchanted3 · 26/05/2009 17:04

I've bought from kiddicare with no problems, i find it very reliable.

Sorry to hear its not the case here though.

We've never had problems before with them, but this has been a nightmare of misinformation and hassles since day 1. I'm not willing to have this nonsense repeated, especially with this policy of not telling you if the shipping date has been moved. I've been told that by two different people from Kiddicare since this order started being delayed. What a waste of my time.

Always had good service from kiddicare too - they updated me about dispatch by text. Sorry your experience was poor.

HeinzSight · 26/05/2009 21:19

Triggles, it does indeed sound like you've had a nightmare and I don't blame you at all for feeling the way you do. I'd be pretty furious too.

But, I have to join the others and say that I have used Kiddicare several times and they've always been brilliant. I even had a problem with a buggy I bought from them. They arranged a free courier to take it back to them so they could look at it, they sorted the problem and returned it to me all free of charge. I think I was only without the buggy for 3 days!

Hangingbellyofbabylon · 26/05/2009 22:46

Really sorry you're having such a nightmare with kiddicare. Kiddicare is pretty well the only on-line baby seller I trust and have always been great. I hope they don't get crap now.

moaningminnie2020 · 26/05/2009 22:51

I've used them loads of times and think they're up there with Amazon etc - never had any problems. Have noticed some things are'nt the bargains they used to be, but I got a Phil and Teds Sport with doubles seat and cocoon for under 300 quid recently.

Hope it's a one off, must be very irritating for you, I hate waiting for stuff to come.

KingCanuteIAm · 26/05/2009 22:51

I think there are a few threads on here like this, the op is certainly not the only one to have these same problems!

Another one who has never had problems, infact I have found them to be fantastic and they are the first place I look when I need something new.
Did you get a text message to say the delievery had been dispatched? we always get one and it has never been wrong for us

kiddicare · 22/05/2010 10:48

Good Morning,

Elaine from Kiddicare.com here, firstly it looks like we owe you an apology for what certainly sounds to be a total mess up with your order, could you please e-mail me directly with your order number so I can locate it and find out exactly what has been going on.
My e-mail address is [email protected]. This is not acceptable and is most definitely not in-line with our normal high standards.

Many thanks Elaine.
