Transvaginal CVS in the UK- anyone had one?

Hi
I am posting this here as hoping more people may see it.

I am currently waiting for a CVS and there are difficulties with where my placenta is and therefore access to it through the abdominal wall (usual route in the UK). After 2 scans in the past week my placenta is still inaccessible . I'm now 11.5 wks pregnant and time is ticking for the test.

I live in Northern Ireland and no consultants over here do transvaginal CVS tests, so my consultant will have one more look on Friday and if still no joy look into referring me to another hospital elsewhere in the UK where they offer transvaginal CVS.

I have been googling but not found any info yet (sent an email to FMC just in case...), so I wondered if anyone has had a CVS in the UK transvaginally and at which hospital?

Many thanks.

Ring The Fetal Medicine place at Kings College in London - Ihave had 2 normal CVSs there and if anyone knows how to do what you are asking Prof Nicolaides will.
