xray during pregnancy

Im only a few weeks pregnant but a week before i found out i had an xray for my ankle. what are the chances its done any harm

Minimal I should think. Embryos are a lot more resilient than we think they are. Plenty of people have done a number of things without realising they're pregnant and I think it rarely does harm, like smoking, drinking, lifting, etc. As long as now you know, you make them aware if you need one again so they can put a proof jacket on you.
I know pregnancy is a worrying time, but really and truely, I wouldn't worry at all at this stage.

ive miscarried 4 times im scared something is gonna go wrong

I've had 3 m/c and have 2 ds's. I know it's awfully scary. I had 2 mc's before I got pregnant with ds1 and I couldn't even say I was pregnant without breaking into tears. People thought I didn't want it, but I was just so scared of losing it.
I know this will sound harsh, but what will be will be. It is not your fault that you have mc in the past and it wouldn't be your fault if it ever happened again. You know that.
I'm not very good at reassurance talk, but please try not to worry. I do understand though

yeah and im now about 7 weeks 2 more to gobefore i reach my usual time. i keep telling the baby to hold on and it has to stay where it is lol feel like im going mad

I think that's probably quite normal. I did the same. I had my 3rd mc in between ds1 and ds2. When I mc, I found out I was pregnant 6 weeks later and I was 5.5 weeks, and I have never been so scared (apart from ds1's pregnancy) and I would have my hand on my stomach and would say out loud "please hang on"
It is a horrible time. Are you having an early scan?

i had a scan on friday and they made me feel worse rather than better. made me feel like i was wasting their time. the MW said when do u normally miscarry i said about 8 or 9 weeks and she said well there really isnt any point doing this scan until thats past cos u might have a baby now then it wont be there in a couple of weeks.

Unbelievable! I'm so that you have been treated and spoken to like that.
What a mean and nasty bitch. Excuse the language, but that has made me really angry. Surely it wouldn't hurt her to show a bit of understanding and a bit of tact.

i know and i had my dd with me which i think she thought was inapropriate (i agree but i couldnt leave her in the bloody car) couldnt wait to get out of there. need to go back in 2 weeks just to check everything is ok

If it helps you feel any better, I had a chest xray a week before I found out I was pregnant. Am 26 weeks now and all is fine. I had one miscarriage a few months before this.

I had to take my ds1 along to all my scans and ante-natal appointments.
I hope it all goes well. Will you come back here and let me know? Will be thinking of you.

BTW, I know you have more to wrry about atm, but how about logging a complaint about that mw?

ive also gone and got my baby plan from mothercare to bribe the baby to stay put. and the fact im a single mum i need all the time i can have to pay for everything i need.

not sure about making a complaint im a bit of a wimp and she will prob say its hormonal or something

I really hope everything stays well for you.
In my 2ns pregnancy, I had to log a complaint about my cmw, she was just so rude and dismissive! I was shocked at her lack of interest really. The head mw that I spoke to was very understanding of what I was saying and how I was feeling and also said I wasn't the only one to experience problems with her. I'd imagine your mw is speaking to everyone like that and already has a mark on her record.

I'm sorry you got such little sympathy regarding the scan And I really hope all goes well for you this time. I am very fortunate not to have been through this, so can only imagine how you feel.

Regarding the xray, from what I know I would say it is VERY unlikely to have done any harm. But you might find this of interest? I haven't read it all, but take comfort from the first paragraph "The radiation dose to the embryo or fetus that is likely to arise from any diagnostic procedure in current use should present no risk of causing fetal death, malformation, growth retardation or impairment of mental development."
