Raw inside mouth and tongue (not gums)

Hello,

I am 21 weeks preggers and my mouth has started to get really raw and sore over the last week. I had heard that your gums get sore sometimes, but they are find - it is just the fleshy bits in my mouth and tongue. Has anyone else had this and/or have any ideas what i can do about it.

Thanks

WW

Oral thrush maybe?

Argh!!! I have just been googling the symptoms and they say you have to have spots in your gob. I don't - could it still be that?

"Often there are no white spots. Areas within the mouth may just become red and sore. This more typically occurs if you get thrush after a course of antibiotics or steroids. "

From this site

Oops, pressed post too soon may or may not be thrush, the spots could be yet to come.. best get it checked out anyway, I'm sure they could give you something to ease whatever it is if it isn't thrush

I have the same thing and had it with last pregnancy too. Use Corsodil mouthwash to sort it out

Thanks - have just got some random antibacterial mouth wash but will see what the chemist says tomorrow.
