How soon after a c-section can you wear a sling to carry your little one?

I used a hugabub with ds 2 and we both loved it, really want to do the same with ds 3 (plus would avoid the double buggy we wouldn't need in a few months)

I am having a c-section and wondered what anyone elses experiences were of using a sling after a c-section.

I know I'd need to get my Drs advice too.

Many thanks!

I had a cs three weeks ago, and have been able to use a kari-me sling from week 1 with myds, who is v small. it's one of those wrap around slings, basically just a long strip of material that you tie round yourself and then put the baby inside. it's incredibly easy to use, and means that the baby is just cradled in between my norks, with the weight spread across my shoulders. v good indeed. I went to the shop planning to buy a ring sling because that's what I'd used with my dd before, and now I'm v glad I was talked into buying the wrap one instead.

Thank you x Hugabub is also one piece of material and ds 2 LOVED it so really want to use it with ds 3 asap. Did it put any pressure on your scar/tummy at all?

I used a huggabub, and a huggababy, with both mine from about six weeks, maybe a bit longer with dd1.before then dh used it,didn't use a pushchair until they were at least 10m,as the slings were so easy and nice!
