Mamma Tens Machine...

Hi there,

I've been given the above tens machine by a friend but have just realised there are no instructions.

I can't get in contact with her at the moment and I was wondering if anyone had used this machine before and could give me a hand.

It's got levels A, B and C each having 15 levels so I'm assuming it's just a simple case of increasing intensity with A being lowest and C highest. There's also a boost button.

Can anyone just confirm exactly what all the programmes do before I experiment with the electrodes!!

Any help would be really appreciated

Yes iirc (it's been 2 years) that's right. You have to start quite early in labour as it takes a while for it to kick in. I think they might relate to different stages of labour. I'm sure if you contacted the manufacturers they would provide instructions. Or hopefully someone else will come along who has some to hand.

I've used this model in two labours but it was hired so I don't have it here now... trying to remember! I think A is for most of first stage, B is for transition or if A isn't cutting it, and C is for second stage.
You press the boost button when your contraction starts and then press it again to turn down to the lower setting when it stops (this is the bit I kept forgetting to do!)
Hoopefully someone who actually has the instructions will be able to confirm for you.
