I'm 26 weeks preg and have started to find sex really quite uncomfortable, like a burning pain, i feel terrible for stopping my partner half way through (which i have been doing) so last night i just let him carry on and started to cry to myself afterwards.

I went to see the midwife today for a check up but i was to embarassed to say anything.

I've not got a UTI or an infection. Just wondered if anyone else is having this problem.

Hi Betty can you not try and talk to midwife I am sure she has heard and seen many more embarassing things then that - I had to give a gorgeous youn male doctors details of the last time I had sex to say nothing to be prodded in private places.
How do you know you don't have an infection - have you been tested?

sounds like thrush...had same problem with painful sex and now have thrush. Its really common in pg and nothing to worry / be ashamed about your mw will have seen / heard worse!

Could be that your discharge just isn't as good a lubricator as normal. You may need some lube. Mine's a bit more watery than it used to be so it feels a bit different.

Not to mention the fact that you're much more swollen down there with increased bloodflow, so it's a bit of a tighter fit IYSWIM.
