Have been to the doctor today am 7 weeks pregnant and my blood pressure is 88/60 and I am always dizzy and having palpitations now and then. I have fainted several times and am dizzy even when lying down. Is there anything I can do and ideas or suggestion would be welcome? I am seeing a gynae on Monday so hopefully she will be able to help but in the meantime and advice welcome.

I always have low blood pressure and the top tips I have been given are to keep hydrated, make sure you're drinking lots of water and snack on salty foods, salt and vinegar rice cakes often work for me.

It is no fun though, I feel your pain. Also make sure you are eating little and often as low blood sugar makes low blood pressure feel a lot worse in my experience.

Thanks Ewe - I always drink loads of water and it seems to be even more now - given the amount of peeing I am doing - really salty food?
It is so exhausting and no fun feeling like I am about to collapse all the time.
