Hi,

I found out I am 4-5 weeks pregnant yesterday, but am now having what I think is stomach cramps, it certainly feels like it, a cross between period pains, diarrohea and constipation pains...

I am getting really concerned that something is not right... can anyone give any advice??

It is my first so I am aware I am very anxious and may be blowing this out of proportion... any advice greatly appreciated!

completely normal I have found (five children). tis something I feel should be told to all newly pregnant women, that you will feel as to you are going to 'come on' any minute. lasts about 2/3wks IIRC.

I know that with my first, I was constantly going to the bathroom to check as I was sure I was about to start my period.

it is all down to your body changing and getting used to growing a baby

oh, and congratulations

Thank you so much for putting my mind at rest!!

I am getting married in 2 weeks, flying to America next Friday and trying to let a flat out in London by Friday, and although this is a wanted pregnancy the timing wasnt great so I think with the added hormones I am panicking!!

Thanks again, Laura

I found out I was pregnan 2wks before I got married too (in fact, I had thought that my morning sickness and cramps were wedding nerves).

well, more congrats, and try not to fret. your body is doing something amazing, makes sense that it is adjusting.

this is true, I think it is just fear of the unknown, thank you for putting my mind at rest!

psychomum5 is right (as usual )

I had "pre period" cramps and sore boobs for 2 weeks before I realised I might want to do a test I was TTC and had been for 2 years but it still did not dawn on me [stupid emoticon] I blame it on the fact it was Christmas and I was busy

Congratulations on the news!

you welcome.

now go and look forward to getting married, and try not to stress about the rest
