...pissed off. Lots of early pregnancy symptoms, followed by 2 negative preg tests, but no bloody period either.

I am one of those women who always knows from day 1 when I'm pregnant - so far 100% accuracy on 2 pregnancies (one miscarriage and one gorgeous darling ).

So I trust my instincts about these things. However I am now a day overdue, which basically never happens to me. However I have been extremely stressed this week, so much so that I'm now feeling ill as well, so I wonder whether the stress could be holding back my period?

Either way I'm cheesed off.

It's an even grimmer taste, though

Hafta say... the timing could be better - much better... but we go with what we've got, don't we?

MrsMerryHenry · 21/05/2009 16:23

LMAO - too right! Why don't they make it taste of chocolate?

Know what you mean about timing, but then there never is an ideal time, is there? At first I was and now I'll be really gutted if it turns out I'm not preg.

I couldn't (and haven't) been as restrained as you. I'd have to know. Now.

MrsMerryHenry · 21/05/2009 16:31

I'm no saint! Think it's because I trust my instincts about what's happening with my body. So really, I pretty much know that I am pregnant - the only contrary evidence is an unreliable wee test. It's been SO reassuring having confirmation on this thread that preg tests can be so wrong.

MrsMerry honey!!!! . Don't forget all that extra exercise you did last week. That could seriously bugger up your cycle . Ahem!

MrsMerryHenry · 21/05/2009 16:37

It's the only exercise I got in May

So. Back to more important matters. Your date...

I'm waiting...

I always knew with my 4 pg...actually it was probably 5, but very early loss...you just feel different don't you? well, I did anyway!

MrsMerryHenry · 21/05/2009 16:39

I'm not sure that I feel different as such, but I have picked up definite signs.

Stop being evasive.

SOLOisMeredithGrey · 21/05/2009 16:40

LOL!!! he didn't phone last night, so no date yet!!! I started my diet yesterday(detox fat flush)and was 5lbs lighter this morning. I'm starving hungry now, but not giving in ~ no sireeee!

MrsMerryHenry · 21/05/2009 16:41

5lbs in a day!!!

Are you sure that's healthy? Won't you just yoyo back to your original weight?

I hate that 'who's turn is it to call' thing. What do you think you'll do?

OP posts:
SOLOisMeredithGrey · 21/05/2009 16:41

Oh with me it's the boobs...they tell me lots of things!!!

Am not being evasive at all!

MrsMerryHenry · 21/05/2009 16:42

I think we're posting out of synch...

SOLOisMeredithGrey · 21/05/2009 16:45

No, this diet is great. I have two weeks on, 1 week off, two on etc and intend to lose at least 2 stones......

Not sure what I'll do about the date! I'm not that bothered tbh, though it is nice to be found attractive(assumption)even with an extra lot of flesh wearing.

He said he'd call, but didn't, maybe he'll call tonight. I'm not calling him....noooo!

SOLOisMeredithGrey · 21/05/2009 16:46

ROFL! think you're right, but hey! we know what we're talking about! I think!!!

SOLOisMeredithGrey · 21/05/2009 16:49

So...are you trying for a baby?!

MrsMerryHenry · 21/05/2009 17:10

Cool. Hope you get the results you want with the diet. Trying to lose weight is a PITA, and in fact I had planned to lose a stone before my 35th birthday, but then I (think I) got pregnant. So I shall have to eat healthily for 9 months to avoid putting on excess weight like last time (tucks into chocolate ice-cream - good for the tonsils, you see .)

Well, this one wasn't intended quite so early, but it's only a few months earlier than hoped, so I'm delighted!

It is always nice to be found attractive, isn't it? I've never identified with women who have always been assured of their sexiness, so on the very rare occasions when I get a bit of attention I'm always and . I think you are lovely-looking and so I'm not surprised this fella fancies you.

Awww! thanks MrsMerry...

It's funny really, I put on 4.7stones with Ds, but had an overactive thyroid with Dd so was actually only about 11.7/12stones by the end of my pg.
Before yesterday, I was fast approaching Ds pg weight. Although I do blame a lot of it on the Mirena, the disasterous end of my 'relationship' with Dd's father has made me comfort eat...not a great combination IME.

Well, I hope you get the result that you'd like. I'd love another baby, but at my age...being single...think it's a long shot really!

SOLOisMeredithGrey · 21/05/2009 17:35

Oh and yes, I was Soooo shocked that the butcher had asked me out, I agreed and walked straight out of the shop! (I obviously thought he could read my mind to get my phone number!) Out of practise...out of practise

Tillyscoutsmum · 21/05/2009 17:38

Ah MrsMH - I wondered how you'd got on... Where are you ? I batch bought about 20 pregnancy tests because I thought we'd be trying for ages. Would be happy to send you some if you want ? They're the cheapo ebay ones where you can to pee in a cup and dip the stick (fnarrr frnarr) but they showed up positive 5 days before my period was due

MrsMerryHenry · 21/05/2009 17:56

at solo's mind reading expectations!

I too put on weight with that darned Mirena .

Tillyscout - wow, 20 kits! didn't realise you could get them on ebay. I've decided to just accept my instincts and leave it be. I'm eating carefully just in case, and will go to the doctors in a couple of weeks, unless forced there tomorrow by painful tonsil infection.

So sweet of you to offer to send me some kits, but don't worry, I'm pretty chilled about it at the mo.

OP posts:
Tillyscoutsmum · 21/05/2009 18:26

You're a more patient woman than me but its good that you're chilled. TTC and pregnancy turn me into some kind of freaky paranoid monster

Hope you get the result you want though... will be looking out for news

MrsMerryHenry · 21/05/2009 20:07

Thanks Tillyscout!

Any news today, MMH?

MrsMerryHenry · 22/05/2009 16:21

You sweetie. It's Overdue Day 3 and...still no sign of Mrs Period.

I do have another preg test in the box (bought a twin pack) but I feel all Earth Mother and reckon my body's a better gauge of what's going on.

Still chilled. How are you today? Is it sunny where you are?

OP posts:
LessThenIdeal · 22/05/2009 16:55

No, it's piddling down!!!

You are very very restrained. Hat's off to you!

I'm away off out tonight now, so will check in tomorrow and see if you've POAS- yet how you are
