I have been having pretty much constant BH's for the last 20 minutes or so, they are not painful, very very uncomfortable though. I have also had what I think could be a little bit of waters leaking again.

Insert, I'm a first-timer so not much experience here but if you feel your waters are leaking and are not sure, I think it's better to ring your MW to find out. They won't mind at all

Naat · 19/05/2009 21:01

Sorry, I didn't even ask you how far pg you were

hobnob57 · 19/05/2009 21:03

Not sure if this is helpful or not but I had BXs every 10 mins for days and days before I was induced....

good luck!

Having had a previous premature labour I was advised that more than 4 in an hour period is the time to call (which works out at a frequency of one every 20mins).

Obviously waters leaking also need checking. Give your maternity hospital a call for advice.

Yeap and as others have said if you are prem then it is always better to ring mw never be embarrassed

georgiemum · 19/05/2009 21:10

Time length and intervals. If they are regular, then THIS IS NOT A DRILL!!!!!

BHs tend to vary in length and the time in between them.

Morning,
Sorry I forgot to put that I am 31+5 today. I rang the MW on the ward and they asked me to go in for monitoring.

Baby's heartbeat was fine and according to the graph I was not having tightening's, although I could feel them. The MW also felt my stomach go very hard even though it didn't show on the machine/graph.

Not sure if it was my waters leaking as at the minute I cant feel when I need a wee so have to go periodically. They did a speculum and took swabs etc. Dr said that she couldn't see any reason why I would be leaking waters.

They let me come home and told me to drink plenty of water and ring if any more concerns.

Thank you all for replying, sorry I didn't get a chance to answer you last night.
