Movement in pregnancy

Hi, this is a really stupid question, but I'll put it to you knowledgable lot!! In my first pregnancy my baby was very laid back-so much so, that on several occasions I'd end up in hospital on the monitor to see how much movement there was-the needle would be going like crazy, but I'd press the button once every half hour or so. With this pregnancy, it feels like half the time the baby is trying to force it's way out through my stomach!! (a bit like alien!!) is this a normal movement/feeling? I'm not kidding, it really does feel like it's trying to burst out!! LOL!! Complete opposite to number 1. Thanks in advance for advice. (I'm due 25 July, so I'm about 30 wks).

perfectly normal I feel like mine is trying to burrow its way out of my cervix sometimes and ds1 would leave little bruises on the inside of my tummy from about 36 weeks onwards. The doctor mortified me as after looking at my bump and asking what the bruises were he sceptically handed me a domestic abuse leaflet.

thanks slucjy, i know it sounded daft, thinking it wasn't normal, but when you've had a quiet prgnancy, to then go to the complete opposite, it's quite scary!!
