My friend is 9 weeks and she is already showing, she is concerned that it is either twins (as they run in her family) or she is a lot further on than she thought. She is very slim usually and it is quite a bump already.

She has an appointment booked for 3 weeks time with the midwife but she will already be 12 weeks by then, I am only 6 weeks and already have an appointment booked for around 10 weeks so she is a little concerned. She rang her doctors surgery asking to be brought forward but was told there wasn't anything sooner.

Was anyone else showing so early?

Im only 7 weeks and already have a bump, my jeans are becoming tight etc. It is different for every person and one slim person will have a bump whereas another wouldnt show until much later on, theres no right or wrong.

The 12 week scan will be anytime between 10-14 weeks depending on who you see, your area etc again it doesnt mean anything is wrong, its just the nhs, so dont worry.

Good luck in your pregnancy's

My friend had a bump very early and was also worried it was twins. Turned out not to be, just the way her body went.

I have two DCs and I showed early with both - couldn't do my jeans up etc from about 8 weeks. I was in maternity clothes by fourteen weeks. No twins, nor were either of them massive babies. Just the way I am!
