I posted on the same subject several weeks ago, but am posting again because I still don't have a bump and I'm 17.5 weeks pregnant. I just look FATTER! (I was a bit overweight pre-pregnancy anyway)
As this is my second pregnancy, I thought I would have been showing a lot earlier, so I'm really worried everything is okay. And my worries have been exacerbated after reading another thread on here, where everyone was saying they were showing really early on their 2nd pregnancy and this was wwhat was syupposed to happen!
Anyone in the samemboat as me?

Hi Gateau, I was the same with my second (sadly not so much with my third...). Don't think I was properly showing until 21/22 weeks, and even then was pretty small throughout. I hope that gives you some comfort .

It does, ataraxis, and thank you for reassuring me.
Could I ask you, do you think this has anything to do with a change in the sex of the baby? I'm pretty sure I was more obviously pg with DS at this stage.

Third trimester is when I stopped looking like a root vegetable and actually started looking pregnant. It'll come, my pretty... it'll come...

Not in my experience (ie not that way round). I had two boys first and then a girl. I showed less with the boys than the girl, I definitely carried higher with dd and showed more - but that was something to do with a lack of stomach muscles by that point too...

gateau I spent all last summer getting fatter... and fatter... and FATTER...

I got so "fat" my bellybutton popped out and came on MN wondering why, til someone said "you could be pg" ... turned out she was right

the next week my "fat" suddenly rearranged itself into a large, unmistakeable bump. (turned out I was 18 weeks along!) you watch, you'll wake up one morning and it'll have popped out literally overnight.
