OPINIONS PLEASE!!!

I think i had my first proper pains last nite, wot i mean is iv felt ocassional braxton hicks, tru my pregnancy from around 25 weeks but last nite me and hubby wer out at a friends house, and i suddenly got a pain (well tightening) in my back round to the right side ov my bump, it felt diff to usual pains i sat 4ward to try and ease it and it gradually went away.
This was at 9.20pm last nite, i then felt the simular thing around 25 mins later, we went home i had a bath and went to bed.
I then felt another one around 11ish and then woke and threw up loads at 1.20am i then felt another tightening.
That was it till morning and then nothing, iv had a achey tummy all day- thats the only way i can describe it and 2-3 more pains but not in same place as last night but lower down in my bits!!! Been sick again today and just dont feel right. :-(

I would personally say your labor is starting however don't get your hopes to high wait and see if they get more regular have you had your show yet. Try relaxing or going for a little walk that gets some peoples going.

No i avnt ad a show, me and hubby took the dog for a walk before down the beach just to get sum fresh air as i feel a bit off!! Was sick again just before (sorry if tmi) but it was just pure yellow bile!!! Can u get ya labour pains just low down or do they tend to come in ya bump and back??

Do I remember you saying your baby was posterior. I had only back pain and in my fanjo some have it in their stomach even heard of it in your bladder all depends on baby's position. I wasn't sick during labor though but some are. I would give your mw a call and see what she thinks. Hope your wait is soon to be over.

No babys in right position (i think), i saw midwife on friday and babys head was engaged amd she wrote on my notes long-not sure what that means!!

longitudal lie I think. I'm pretty sure it does mean baby is in right position. I would give mw a call ask her opinion and then you will know for certain if baby is about to make an appearance otherwise you will never sleep and if you are contracting it will help later to be well rested.

Im prob fussing over nothing but just wanted to see if anyone else ezperienced these feelings at the start ov their labour, Iv got 4 days till my due date soo really excited but obv bit nervous as i dont know wot to expect, was talking to my mam earlier and she sed i will know wen im in labour coz the contractions will come more frequent and feel a little stronger each time.
Can u still have labour pains before having a show or waters going??

yes you can def have pains before a show/waters breaking.

my waters didn't break spontaneously either time, I was well into full-blown labour and had them broken just before giving birth.

had a show with ds1, but nothing with ds2.

sounds like your body is maybe preparing for it though. get plenty of rest

my waters broke but no show but labor is more likely to start with contractions than water breaking. Although I liked it because i knew then without a doubt I was in labor. See if you can get an early night even if you just read a book or something so that you will be well rested.

I had an early night, felt uncomfortable tru night not soo much pains but just achey and up countless times for the loo, not too bad this morning, i dont know wots happening i know the pains are probably the start but iv got a feeling this will go on for a little longer!!! x

You poor thing if they are the start your cervix might be quite dilated by the time you start getting full labor pains. But I might check with mw as some people go all the way through labor never feeling more than uncomfortable also if its not labor it has been a while now so you might want to get checked. If its not labor they may be able to stop you feeling bad and if it is labor the mw might be able to give you some tips on speeding it up like nipple stimulation. If its labor they will probably send you home and say to come back later but at least you will know.

Iv just been relaxing today chilling on sofa watching tele (ohhh wot the life) lol.
I havent rang midwife gonna see how i go, i have noticed a wee bit of white discharge before in my underwear wen i went to the loo, not much just a wee bit. Anyone had this???
Im feeling generally okay at min, just crampy.

Not too bad thanx, not ad any more tightening feelings just period cramps again on and off, baby is still moving about but seems a bit slower movements, guess itl be getting quite cramped in there!!!
Im gonna see how it goes if nothing happens by thurs my due date i will be seeing midwife on friday i av an app at 1.00 so just have to see what she says.
What do they tend to do if u go over ya date i know they allow 2 weeks dont they?? But do they do anything, any checks ect??

I am going to be offered a sweep at 40 week appointment other than that couldn't say sorry I went early. Must be hard mind having constant period pains I really feel for you.

My mam mentioned a sweep she sed that if i go to app on fri if nothings happened b4 hand that she will prob offer a sweep.
Im not having the pains constantly its on and off at times last night me and hubby started to keep track on wen i was getting the pain and it was 4.50pm then 5.45 6.15 7.43 so not really any reg pattern, the only way i can describe the pain wen it comes is like period pain/cramp.
Today its mainly a bad back, im just getting a bit ov everything now!!! Only gud thing is that hopfully wont av too long left fingers crossed.

Mw will probably monitor pains and if they are weak irregular contraction she will probably suggest speeding labor up so just be prepared so you can make a decision on whether that is the right course for you or she may sadly insist you stay in hospital.

Woke up this morning, with diarrhoea!!!! urrugghh and i know u prob dont want to know LOL.
Had a pain across top ov my bump since last night and is really sore today.
I decided to ring del suite just for advice and explain wots been happening, they suggested i get chkd ova just to know everything is okay. A community midwife came out to me earlier on BP fine URINE fine, listened to baby she says baby seems happy which is gud to know, she says head is soo low, and thinks all pains and sickness and diarrhoea iv had past few days is pre-labour!!! She told me to rest and keep my feet up as i have a bit ov swelling she doesnt think ill go far ova my due date, im due tomorrow.
I feel soo much better for being checked and know baby is fine and happy, i guess its just a matter ov waiting now. Ohhhh and she also asked if i knew wot i was aving i sed no and she sed she reckons a boy becoz ov heartrate!! Can they go by the heartrate as to wot sex ur baby is??

My prelabour started Friday, proper contractions on Sunday night and I had him on Monday morning.

Hopefully you won't have too long to go.

Heart rate being able to say what sex the baby is is an old wives tale but a bit of fun anyway. I think under 140 is supposed to be a boy but there is no proof to back this up. You are patient I have found out on both pg. Glad to hear it shouldn't be much longer for you and try not to worry about the labor. Diarrhoea might be good as you may empty bowels and not poop on the delivery table unlike me . Also it can be the start of proper labor I will keep my fingers crossed for you.

No, but the labour was too quick for DS2 rally but he is absolutely fine now.
