I think I have just experienced by first kick by my bubba, but it felt like a got punched in the stomach! Is it supposed to feel like this?

I had a miscarriage at 11 weeks last year, and with this pregnancy I am coming up to 21 weeks tomorrow. I have been feeling movement since 19 weeks, but first time I felt something like this!

Any advice anyone??

Yes, it can feel exactly like a punch! Get used to it.

Am 25 weeks, and since the movements became 'kicks' instead of mere wiggles at about 20 weeks, I've definitely had a few that felt quite strong and made me jump!

Think it feels different at different times for different women, but doesn't sound unusual.

All I can say is, try to enjoy it as best you can. It means your baby is growing and strong!

it really freaked me out as i was just before it happened thinking about how broody my 20 month old twin nieces made me today, and how lucky it is that ive got one of my own on the way, and then wham! like bubba was trying to confirm what I was thinking, lol!

I have been waiting for ages for a proper kick and was so worried about how it would feel like and whether I would know if it was a kick or not, so thanks a lot for the reassurance
