my contractions started at about 2pm yesterday went to hospital at about 7pm as contractions were every 4mins lasting 40 seconds. when got to hospital m/w examined said i was in labour but contractions wasn't strong enough to dilate my cervix so sent me home. been up all night with back ache and contractions. baby is lying back to back so i'm in totally agony, still getting contractions now but irregular. bouncing on my birthing ball and warm baths helps but is there anything else i can do to progress things anymore struggling to cope with pain. oh yeah its my 1st pregnancy.

Hi Louise, I'm also a first timer but in the AN class the MWs said going on all fours with your knees and elbows on the floor really helps back to back babies turn and it eases the pain on your back. If you can, spend some time (on the bed or on the floor) doing that now. Hope it helps.
