Sometimes sickness or diarrhea can be a sign of imminent labour maybe you are getting pains because of this.

tye · 10/05/2009 19:07

just thought id add these cramps are not coming and going they feel as though they are around constantly.

Sounds laboury to me. I vomited during early labour. Quite alot!

tye · 10/05/2009 20:56

do u not think this is anything to worry about then? just on tuesday midwife started asking me lots of questions about swelling and headaches as there was a trace of protein in my urine sample and my blood pressure was up a little. just made me a bit weary?

call labour ward.

MmeLindt · 10/05/2009 21:20

I would phone the hospital and ask their advice.

Salleroo · 10/05/2009 22:10

Tye, call the labour ward and go to hosp. Sounds like pre-eclampsia from the protein and raised BP and you will need to be monitored v closely.

Good luck

bruffin · 10/05/2009 22:30

I was hospilised for pre eclampsia for 7 weeks before DS was born, one of the questions I was asked every day was did I have any pain just under the ribs, also asked about headaches.
I would ring the labour ward

largeginandtonic · 10/05/2009 22:36

It sounds like a bladder infection. Have you taken your temperature? You need to phone the labour ward and explain the symptoms.

They can put you in to labour as your uterus can be irritated. Nothing to worry about you are full term

Phone them.

InsomniacMumontheRun · 10/05/2009 22:39

Best to ring labour ward. I was in a couple of weeks ago for monitoring with stomach pains at 36 weeks.

They did blood tests, CTG monitoring, BP, urine etc and when they were happy that all was well sent me home.

They're there to help so don't be afraid to ask.

mummy2isla · 11/05/2009 07:56

Call the ward as you need to check it's not pre-eclampsia as well?

blinks · 11/05/2009 14:58
