i started bleading this morning, its heaver than spotting (i have to wear a pad) but still really light, nothing like af bleading. i had mild cramps this morning just before the bleading started but nothing now.

the blood is brown in colour and sticky, mixed with cm
its now really light bleading and only there when i wipe.

i know its common to spot during pregnancy, but is this normal? i'm really worried i might be having a misscarrage.

try not to worry. when i mc, it was very strong cramps, and red loss.

Yours sounds like its getting less and no cramping is VERY good.

Keep your chin up, maybe ask GP for early scan or get one privately, to reassure you?

ScorpiowithabigS · 08/05/2009 13:50

also it may be your baby implanting

belgo · 08/05/2009 13:50

Hello,
sorry to hear this. Do you have an early pregnancy unit that you can phone? Bleeding and cramps during pregnancy should always be checked out as soon as possible.

MummyPhillips · 08/05/2009 13:51

I would just try to rest and relax as much as you can and not worry too much, I think if it was a miscarriage he bleeding and cramps would be getting worse than better.

ThePhantomPlopper · 08/05/2009 13:51

very scared, I know this is random but were you recommended to this site a couple of days ago by a friend on the phone?

Anyway it sounds normal but if you're worried gibe your GP a ring.

skay · 08/05/2009 13:53

Sorry to hear this.

Bumping for you.

Bakersman · 08/05/2009 13:53

I second Belgo - go to the Early Pg Unit for a scan. Call your GP or mw for a referral. It hopefully will put your mind at rest.
Keeping my fingers crossed for you.

belgo · 08/05/2009 13:54

I'm sorry, bleeding and cramps, even if they are getting better, are not normal during pregnancy.

It could simply be a sign of implantation bleeding, or it could be something more serious. There's no way of knowing for sure without a medical examination - preferably a scan and taking bloods. Please phone EPU, or your GP.

ThePhantomPlopper · 08/05/2009 13:59

Normal probably wasn't the correct word to use, common may have been better.

thell · 08/05/2009 14:02

Absolutely - I had an implantation bleed at 6 weeks (brownish blood, as it takes time to come out), but I phoned GP who referred me straight away to an Early Pregnancy Unit.
So glad I went.

ThePhantomPlopper · 08/05/2009 14:13

Ignore the comment about the friend and the phone call Leoni, you're not her.

Good luck with everything.

veryscaredleonifay · 08/05/2009 16:09

thanks for all your comments.

unfourtunatly i'm going away tommorow, so i dont have time to get a scan before i go, but at least it means i get to rest for a week.

the bleading seems to have stopped, i phoned the gp who said dont be too worried and just relax, i'm going for a scan when i get back tho to put my mind at rest.
