Well, I've been scouting around online, seeing what is available to wear to family weddings this summer and I'm a little depressed.

If I want a dress and the tops of my arms covered, the choices are black, er black and oooh grey or other dull colours .

I was wondering if anyone else fancied having a thread where we post links to anything which looks nice and might give each other ideas, as I'm sure that I'm not the only one in this position .

Have you looked at Isabella Oliver ?

I had a fab wrap dress from there for a wedding last year.

Tiffany Rose do some nice clothes. Bit pricey but maybe to splash out on a special occasion.

I've got this in white for my god-son's christening in a couple of weeks.

Will be wearing it with a little cardi type top in a watermelon colour.

I'm 28 weeks pregnant and it fits fine.

So if i were you i'd check out non-maternity ranges as there's a better selection and you can wear afterwards.

Also bought my usual size so will wear it post-baby too.

I'm not pg at the moment (though would love to be ) but thought I would post this site as I had 2 lovely dresses for a wedding and christening from here when I was pg last time.
They have lovely colours and though not "maternity" they are mostly empire lines and made of that nice stretchy, slightly crinkly fabric (like ghost dresses) - I just bought the size up from my normal size (wore one when I was 36 weeks so pretty huge bump by then ) and they were perfect- so comfortable and easy.

baby ceylon

Happy shopping
(ohhh I am sooooo broody!!)

I had wedding both times I was pregnant with my 2 dc. I ended up going for seperates with a pretty
skirt in my normal size or size up ad loner maternity style top and cardy but i didn't get very big with either of them.

Ooh, some nice frocks there !

I quite liked the look of this but I'm not sure whether my bump will be too high by that point. I'll be about 28 weeks and I'm very short so ds was real high all the way through.

I looked literally everywhere for something to wear to a wedding later in May when I'll be about 28 weeks - in the end I bought this, its really pretty and theres a lot of fabric in the front to accommodate any growth spurt I might have between now and then! so much better than any of the 'proper' maternity stuff I saw - that was all just black black and more black www.kew-online.com/fcp/product/womens-clothing/dresses/Twist-Front-Dress/99900953

Im going to a close friends wedding in April. I will be 37 weeks pregnant.

Im currently thinking this with a little cardi in either white or blue.

Really dont want to spend alot so this seems a contender at the mo. Unless you lovely ladies show me something different!

OrangeAnge · 16/11/2009 09:23

I'm off to a wedding on the 12 December - will be 36 weeks pregnant!

I am looking at a dress from the maternity range of asos.com They are cheap and trendy. Perfect!
