38 weeks and really bad back pain- what can i do?

title says it realy, ive been having back pains everyday for the past 5/6 weeks. im assuming its just the weight of the baby but i was wondering if there is anything i can do to ease it.

back massage? lying in bed? Though I'd recommend giving birth for an actual solution.. . have you spoken to your Dr about it? He might be able to suggest something..?

Can you go to a pool?

If so, Don't Try To Swim. Instead, get hold of one of those floaty thin foam thingies and do the following:

  • pass it between your legs (i.e. sit on it) and pedal. Keep coccyx in.
  • pass it under your armpits and breasts, and pedal.
  • Hold it in your hands, put feet firmly on ground, push it away from you and streeetch.

I was told about these exercises by a specialist and they have really helped.
