I am pretty sure dd has chicken pox - small blisters all over back and tummy. Massive one at back of throat. Temperature.
I am 34 weeks but have had chicken pox a few times - which makes me wonder if I have the antibodies.Phoned hospital - they weren't helpful and said "You probably have antibodies" - NOT satisfied with that when I know what the effect of catching chicken pox can be late in pregnancy on the baby. - Waiting for NHS DIrect to ring back but it is several hours waiting time. Can anyone help?

If you've had it a few times you probably are immune by now but if you are really not happy, go and demand to have a titer to see if you are or not. However, I'm not sure there is much you could do about it unless you would be happy to be away from dd for a while - plus, you've been around her in her most infectious period now which is in the run up to the spots coming out and until they dry up.

tbh, I really don't think you need to worry if you've had chicken pox. If you had it more than once, you probably had it really mild the first time and more full blown the second? THis happened to my friends ds and it's very unlikely he'll get it again now.

FWIW, my ds1 and ds2 both had chicken pox last summer while I was 36-40 weeks pregnant (it dragged on because ds2 had it first and then ds1 got it!!) and me and the baby were totally unaffected.
