Hi,
I had a missed miscarriage a year ago, did some tests and found out I have this condition. Was wondering if there was anyone else out there who has it, and if they lost any pregnancy's were they told it was because of this condition?

My doc can't say as I was overseas at the time and they didn't do any tests or check the baby. I was 13 weeks. I haven't had a successful pregnancy yet.

I have Factor V Leiden which is similar....as does one of my daughters and my sister. Had a blood clot with my first pregnancy, but the others were fine. I didn't find out I had it however until many years later. Do you know if you have one gene or two? My daughter was told it would be wise for her to take a baby aspirin and/or blood thinner when she becomes pregnant.

My stepdaughter has Factor II (prothrombin gene mutation). She sadly lost her first child when she was at 27 weeks...and then had two consecutive miscarriages.

She now has three children, but it wasn't until she was pregnant with the last one that they found out what was going on. She had developed blood clots and was on blood thinner for the last few months and for awhile afterwards.
