30 weeks pregnant and period like pain??

Is this normal? It's my first so not sure what BH are like... My bump does feel hard sometimes but I presume that's a bum sticking out, or a head.

I'm not an expert, but when I had that at 28wks it was a water infection... maybe contact your mw if it carries on for more than today?

BH are a tightening across your tummy, they are different to contractions which are painful braxton hicks with a stretching feeling down below (in the vagina area). I'd get the period pain checked though, as gigglewitch say's, it could be a water infection.

BH can feel like a spreading ache around your tummy & you feel a part of baby bulge as the tummy is 'shrinking' around that part.As long as they are not getting worse or don't go away it's normal.I have been getting them since 19 weeks now am also 30 weeks and they can really take my breath away.

Hope you're okay evie Not sure if it's normal or not but I felt like I had period pain on and off this last few days, only for a few seconds but not sure if it's just cos I've got an upset tum. I think you should check in with MW just to reassure you.

Braxton Hicks shouldn't hurt, they should be uncomfortable but not painful.
