Weird Blood pressure reading

Hi,
Is there anyone else who has had weird blood pressure readings? On Monday at 4am I woke up with feet that looked remarkably like Shrek's - although they were not green! I had also had 2 nosebleeds on Sunday.

Anyway I called the midwife at the hospital and she suggested I put up my feet, lie on my left and get to my GP for a blood pressure check in case it was high. I am 28 weeks pregnant by the way.

So when I went in at 11am my feet swelling had all but gone but the checked my pressure anyway. They did it 3 times and they told me it was low, there was some concern that there was only an average of 10points difference between the top and bottom pressures.

I am going this afternoon to see the midwife to have my normal check but I would like to know if anyone knows the significance of having very little difference between the top and bottom of a blood pressure test.

Im not quite sure but i know wen i first had my booking with midwife at start of pregnancy my bp was 110/60 and she sed that was slightly low, thats with a gap ov 50 between the top and bottom number.

The top number is the pressure when the heart actually pumps the blood round, and the bottom number is the pressure when the heart muscle relaxes inbetween beats. So it is odd to have such a small gap. Sorry I have absolutely no idea what might have caused that - you don't say what the actual reading was, although I guess they would have been alot more concerned if it was high with such a small gap between the numbers. Hope it's back to normal when you get it taken later.
