Hi all.

I have been suffering from nasty acne for weeks-- I have PCOS and acne rosacea and usually on ant biotics- but can't take them while pregnant!!!

Do any of you have some ideas on how to treat, as I am fed up of being ugly!!! Not that I'm a beauty queen usually-- but would like to feel a little nicer-IYKWIM!!!!!!

Hi Effielou,

I suffer quite badly with my skin too, have you tried using sudacream? It's cheap, effective and great for nappy rash when bubba arrives! Just slather it on at night and hopefully after a few days you should notice an improvement.

I have tried it-- but do you leave it on- or use it like a cleanser??? I'm not very good with this type of thing!!!!

Effielou, I posted about this last week and was advised to try lavender essential oil.

It works!! Am now nearly spot free! In a week.

Also have been using a gentle face scrub every night and getting some sunshine.

You could also try using plain natural yoghurt as that has worked for me in the past too.

Good luck!

Use the yoghurt as a face mask - leave on for 10 mins then rinse off.

helips · 28/04/2009 14:05

I leave it on all night to work it's magic

helips · 28/04/2009 14:06

Well, I left sudacrem on all night and went to bed looking like Elizabeth I- but woke up with less redness than before and not as sore- so will carry on and hope by the time baby is born-- I look less scary for it!!

Thanks again for the advice xxx

Dr Hauschka products were my saviour - they are expensive but absolutely cleared up my nasty acne and for the 1st time in my life I didn't look like a teenager !

littleweed10 · 29/04/2009 17:30

If you are using bio oil for your bump, you can also use it as a treatment oil for your face. (if you're lazy like me, much easier to use the same moisturing stuff)

Effielou · 30/04/2009 10:48

Thank-you. Off to by bio-oil at the weekend, as nasty strechmarks are appearing-- didn't get many with my other pregnancies.

I have seen the Dr Hauschka products and if I don't spend too much on sat then DH may let me get someotherwise he might self combust!!!
Thanks again xx
