Hoping this is normal, but what do I do?

Am almost 30 weeks, everything going really well, much wanted LO is kicking lots and growing well, nursery stuff all on order, maternity work cover sorted...

...and them bam. Yesterday I have a disagreement with someone at work about the temperature of the air conditioning (wtf?)and suddenly can't stop crying, feel exhausted, overwhelmed, like I'm going through the motions. Can't stop thinking about how I don't know what I'm doing, never looked after a baby before, how am I going to cope? Poor DH had a trying evening....

How do I get past this, not going to be much use as a mother thinking like this....

oh you poor thing.
sounds totally normal to me. I think you might just have to put this down to pregnancy hormones.
I think most new mums worry that they don't know what they are doing ! Have you got other people to speak to who are in the same situation as you ? that might help when you have the baby. I found NCT a total lifesaver.
good luck

Sounds like me yesterday, also first time mum, 34weeks into pg.
I try and take each thing that worries me one at a time and rationalise with it, find a solution to each one and that usually makes me feel better for a little while at least before it comes back round in a circle!
During my dirst/second trimester I had aphase where I felt like I just couldn't get out of feeling low but one day I just snapped out of it somehow.
Can dh help by telling you everything is going to be ok? (even if he has to be told that's what he has to say ;)

bless, you poor thing.

Its all perfectly normal though, hmmm the joys of being pregnant. Ive had exactly the same feelings, and irrational behaviour(39+3 weeks), and this isnt even my first. Its normal behaviour im afraid, i am finding the last few weeks more calming, so hopefully in a few weeks your"ll feel abit better
tc and im sure things will all be worth it, when bump finally becomes baby.

I was the same yesterday. Feeling good and then about 5pm floods of tears because my DC were being tetchy.

Really is just hormones.

Hormones hormones and then some. Only women have to go through this. You will cope just fine as a mother. It is hard for everyone in late pregnancy and the early days of the baby. With help from dh and for the lucky ones mum or MIL makes all the difference. I cried 2-3 hrs per day during the last two weeks. My babies turned out okay
