A slightly thick question - SPD?

Firstly what on earth does SPD stand for and secondly, would having a feeling like my pubic bone and pelvis is about to crumble away whenever I walk for more than five minutes count as a symptom? I had this last time I was pregnant, and it lasted for months and months after the pregnancy too... I'm beginning to get niggles again and I was wondering if I actually 'have something' iyswim...Thanks!

Soddin Painful Discomfort, or something like that. Or maybe sym...pelvic disorder. Think it was the first suggestion.

Sounds like you've got it my friend. Also, when lying in bed and trying to turn, does it feel like and sound like a clunking down there? Classic symptoms!

Yes to the clunking! So SPD isn't a medical condition with a nice cure? Poo.

That sounds like it, sweetie. It is a condition, and there are things that can and should be done to alleviate but not cure it. Email me, I'll send you the article wot I wrote which loads of MNers helped me with.

Symphisis Pubis Dysfunction, btw.

A support belt round the lower pelvis or even a nice bit of wide tubi-grip thingy helped with mine. I had a crutch as well. Just be easy on yourself too.
