Hi ladies,

Im just new on here, im 24 and i am just over 36 weeks pregnant.
I was just wondering if anyone can explain a little more about baby dropping and engaging??
I saw midwife yesterday and she sed babys head is 3/ 5ths into my pelvis i have noticed my bump doesnt seem as high up as usual, and i feel like i can breathe again LOL
Can anyone help??
Also is there anyone due around same time as me?? My due date is 21st May soo just under 4 weeks to go cant wait!!! xxxx

hi Shell

normally when they say 3/5 the first number is how much of baby's head they can feel (although, some do it the other way round to confuse us), so it means baby is getting into position but isn't completely engaged.

it's totally normal to notice the extra space at the top and it can be quite nice if you've had a particularly active baby kicking you in the ribs for the past few months lol
you might also notice that it starts to feel a little uncomfortable sitting down, or that you get a lot of pressure in your pelvic region

I am due 6th June, so not that long after you! is this your first baby?

nope, i'm on my 3rd now! still seems hardly any time since i was waiting for my first though and it certainly doesn't get any less exciting

No we decided to leave it as a suprise, altho i am going crazy dying to know whether it is blue or pink LOL

Wow ur 3rd, how old are ur other 2??

Do you know wot ur having?? Do u av Boys or girls or one ov each??

i have a 4yr old and a 1.5yr old, both boys.
this one is a surprise, we didn't find out with any of them
am convinced it's another boy, but that might just be because I can't imagine having a girl lol

Just nice ages 2, av u felt the same with all ur pregnancys??
