Hello Ok we are trying for baby no.2 and af was due yesterday so i tested and....a very very faint positive came up AFTER the 3 minutes waiting time!! So i did another test and same thing happened. It took around 10 minutes to come up positive. I tested again first thing this morning and same happened!! I dont think they could be evap. lines because i have a few of the same tests from last month all negative and without + lines! Still no sign of AF (its always on time) although i do have mild cramps every now and then. Also had some light brown discharge (tmi sorry) twice now but then nothing. I have a face full of horrid spots which i got with my first pregnancy too, and huge sore boobs. What do you think guys? I am sat here looking at 3 positive tests and really hoping im going to be a mummy again It does sound silly reading this back it seems pretty obvious! But i didnt have the cramping and brown discharge last time! Thanks for reading xxx

I had a really faint positive test when I was pregnant with DD and discharge in this pregnancy. Sounds like you are but keep everything crossed! Good luck.

MrsHappy · 22/04/2009 21:30

What sort of tests are they?

Mummyfor3 · 22/04/2009 21:32

Repeat test after a week - if you can wait that long !

IMO, congratulation are probably in order ...

I did my test with sainsbury's own brand.. when I went to doctor's I kind of expected her to run a test of her own test, she was like, nah, no need. I said, so we are just going to trust sainsbury's own brand?, and she said -Yup, and don't waste money on buying any more tests, they all test for the same hormone... I don't think I quite believed I was pregnant until my first scan.

Fingers crossed maybebaby23!

I had a funny light bleeding about the time my period was due, after a couple of days I did a pg test just to rule it out. The faintest of lines appeared and DP and I were left in utter confusion.
Went to fp nurse a couple of days later. She did another pg test, again faintest of lines but said a positive is a positive no matter how faint!
Any way am now 9wks 4dys.
Hope that's useful

Go to your gp for the next test - they can do a really quick test which won't cost you anything (unlike the tests you get from the shops) and you'll get the results quite quickly. With my first pg I had 2 negative tests but was sure I was pregnant (I just "knew") and I was and the 2nd pg the same happened but my DH was adamant that no more money should be spent on tests (!) so I went along to my gp who did a test to confirm.
Good luck and how exciting!!!

Thankyou so much for replies! "thecollection" my GP is the opposite! With my first i dont think she believed me, she annoyed me saying its far too early to get a positive and maybe its just AF!! She almost threw the test away before the time was up but then the line appeared She still sent me for 2 blood tests just to check lol. So this time im going to test again in a few days and hopefully will get a darker line. I will update you all! Thanks for sharing your experiences! xx
