I posted early this morning that I thought I was having a panic attack it wore off and dp has gone to work .

I have started feeling really bad again finding it hard to get a good breath of air in and having quite a few BH I am on my own until 5.30 there is no one I can get to come watch dc and mw phone is off .

I don't know if I am having a PA ,a virus /chest infection or something else I just feel very very weird .

Something is not right and I am starting to feel scared .

My gp is also closed .

Phone NHS direct 0845 46 47 now and talk to someone.

How many weeks are you?

Comewhinewithme · 16/04/2009 15:54

I rang the this morning and the nurse said it sounded like breathless (normal for 34 weeks) which has triggered off a PA but if I was worried to go in .

It does feel like a PA but I can't get it under control I know I a going to end up going in this evening for a check up just feeling scared .

would it hurt for you to go in?

breathlessness is quite common at this stage. have you got any chocolate?

Comewhinewithme · 16/04/2009 15:57

No chocolate fio and I can't drag the 5 dc along and until dp comes home I am stuck .

what normally works for your nerves? music? a bath? a nice film?

locking all five children in a cupboard and forgetting about them for half an hour ?

Comewhinewithme · 16/04/2009 16:02

I am starting to feel a bit ore in control it just keeps coming on and off all day .

I know it sounds silly but last time I suffered badly like this was 4 years ago and I learnt to laugh them off and they would stop now it feels like they are beating me again .

Have had about 4 hours sleep in 2 days because of them.

Maybe putting the dc in a cupboard would work !

I think most probably, lack of sleep is exasperating the situation. Can you try to have a bath and a glass of milk and an early night tonight to try and get some sleep?

Comewhinewithme · 16/04/2009 16:09

I am going to try I have a scan tomorrow and am seeing consultant so would rather wait and see him then go in tonight (but I will if I have to ) .

Laying down seems to make the breathlessness worse but I am so tired I will probably sleep stood up.

Told dp this morning I was going straight to bed when he came home .

Thankyou Fio feeling quite a bit more normal for now

Try to lie on your left side as it circulates more oxygen (well i am sure it does anyway )

LadyFio · 17/04/2009 08:15

are you feeling a bit better this morning comewhinewithme?

Comewhinewithme · 17/04/2009 10:35

I feel brilliant Fio thankyou for asking .

Think you were right about lack of sleep and stress .

Had appt and everything fine with me and baby .

Also had a good night last night too .

That's good to hear!
Maybe advising NHS direct was a bit OTT?

Comewhinewithme · 17/04/2009 12:47

Oh no Bettymum I would have answered the same to anyone else I appreciated any advice yesterday . Thankyou .

I can understand where you are coming from... When im sleep deprived I get really anxious and suffer with panic attacks. I had them throughout my 2 pregnancies and also post-natally...

Lack of sleep is such a weird thing.
I hope you feel better soon and that you won't be suffering too much again xxx
