ok am 7 weeks pregnant have bled almost all the time, scan this week showed sac, am going back next Tues to hopefully see bubs heartbeat.
Hosp said bleeding was ok as it was brown and all looked ok, cervix closed etc etc, Told if bleeding turned red and period like, or if i experienced any pains to go straight into A&E. Yest had small bit red blood only tiny then brown again all day. More red last night, ok through the night and now red again quite dark. But its not heavy only when i wipe iykwim. Its quite dark blood and little/tiny bits of tissue in it, not clots. Have had some cramps that seem like there behind my pubic bone which i assumed is all to do with the stetching thats going on. The pain/cramp does catch my breath but doesnt last long.
I phoned local midwife who said not to bother going into hospital as they wont do anything till next week at scan anyway! Contradicting all advice from Dr at hospital.

Anyway else experienced this? Are these pains perfectly norma at this stage?? Thanks for any help you can give to put my mind at ease.

I would pop myself down to local A&E and ask for a scan for reassurance. I had similar bleeding at 16 weeks after my dating scan. They were very happy to oblige. I think you are being fobbed off my midwife - please go and let us know how you got on. Good luck and take care of yourself

Hi Creameggs. Poor you - it is always such a worry but bleeding in early preg can turn out to be nothing. I agree with Icandothat - pop down to A+E, they can at least check if your cervix is still closed and possibly ask for an earlier scan. A similar thing happened to me and I'm currently 18 weeks pg - good luck.

local A&E is 15 miles away and im due to babysit my nephews lunch time. I called hospital who said go into EPU tommorrow morning and i may not be scanned, lovely

So i called EPU for advice and the lady was lovely! She said the dark blood which is very dark red/brown is coming from high up, the tissue sounds like its mucus stuff?? and the pains is everything adjusting and nothing to worry about. Esp as blood is only when i wipe.

She also said if it was miscarriage at this stage i would have alot of bleeding and pains which i dont have. So going back next Tuesday for another scan, may go in between now and then if i feel the need.
Feel quite assured now.
