33 weeks pregnant. I know it is early but I feel like there is a watermelon sitting on my pelvis. Walking is really uncomfortable. Could it be baby coming early? Anyone know what this feeling might be?

Not sure but I am the same along as you and getting the same thing. my last check the mw said the head was down so I am not sure if the head gets ready to engage about now hence our pain?

If you are getting it too it is probably a good sign. Feels so strange doesn't it?

Yes I was worried I was in labour too....either we both are or we are both feeling same thing. I am at the mw this afternoon I will ask her and post for you later x

For me, I felt it....it was like i was carrying a bowling ball between my legs.

Very heavy below - doesnt always mean it's coming early. I was engaged very early and went 9 days over....

Good luck.

DS1 engaged at 34 weeks - my first day of maternity leave - and I knew he had because I needed to go the loo every 5 minutes!

Waters broke at 36 1/2 weeks, and he was born at 38 weeks.

Means nothing. I was 3/5 45 mins before the birth.

AliGrylls · 14/04/2009 17:06

wow - I didn't realise it could all happen so early. At least I know no reason to be paranoid. Thank you Tess, it is really comforting to know that someone is experiencing same thing as me. was funny at lunchtime though - my friend was laughing at my new waddle walk.

I feel exactly like this and my baby is transverse so head definitely not engaged! I've started waddling too lol!
