I'm so scared! I've got this head cold! Husband went to pharmacy and asked them what I could do? They gave me a herbal pill (Gripp - Heel) I just took one yesterdag. Went to see doctor today (DD's got stomach flue and went for myself). Doctor said I shouldn't have taken the pill. There is an 80% chance that it wouldn't do anything. But I want to know it is 100%.

What could go wrong?

look, does this reassure you?

Calm down missus, it'll be fine.
As i understand it, you have taken a homeopathic remedy which may or may not boost the immune system - and only 1 tablet.

1000s of us were still drinking and smoking copiously at 9 weeks pg (ie we hadn't found out we were pregnant!) and our babies are growing up and bouncing and beautiful.

Please don't worry - that is bad for baby

Molly is right, you will be fine. Try not to worry.

You'll be fine.

Did the doctor really tell you that there was an 80% chance it wouldn't do anything? Because that's bollocks. More like 99.9999999999999999%

Stop worrying! Hope you feel better soon.

Congratulations btw.

Good luck and while some herbal remedies are not suitable for pregnancy, there are often natural remedies for colds etc which are safe to take.

Even old favourites like hot honey and lemon can help - honey is soothing and has mild anti-bacterial and antiseptic properties and lemon has vitamin c. Grate a little root ginger in and this is good for chest/congestion and morning sickness
(and if you can find locally produced honey, it may help support your immune system even more )

Yip doggie, the doc really said 80% chance it would do nothing! feel like going over there now and showing him this!
