so, brief history. am 8 weeks 3 days now. had a bleed when period was due, had panic, scan showed sac and HCG rising and a tear in uterus away from sac- felt better and went back about 2 weeks later at 7 weeks- no bleed in meantime, that scan showed sac, heartbeat etc.....then 2 days later, more bleeding, back to EPU again, fetus still ok but no idea where blood was from- then today- at 8 weeks 3 days, I jarred my body when I slipped on a step outside- and it hurt my tummy- then 5 mins later I had a small pool of watery blood- very very scary- no more since. Went to A&E but as bank holl have to wait to Weds for scan- but doc their said has now thrown possible clot near cervix at me- who do I get to tell me what is going on? I didn't bleed in my first pregnancy- so this is so scary and stressful and I am at wits end with fear..............help.....

Your midwife should be able to explain things more to you.

If you do have a clot, I can only surmise that you may have developed a hematoma, it is a fairly common reason when there is spotting or bleeding in early pregnancy.
Depending on the size and the exact location, they often just clear without any problem.
If that is the situation, your midwife will keep an eye on it with more scans and likely suggest you take it easy, refrain from intercourse, and keep her updated on any more bleeding that you might have until they can determine if it has cleared.

I had three episodes of bleeding in my recent pregnancy - including one of those "watery" episodes you describe - when I got up out of bed one day. It was horrible and I never stopped worrying - never found out the reason but it was ok in the end. The only thing I would say is that having had a bleed and then a scan with a hb I would be reassured to a certain extent.

thanks for replies. I shall have to see tomorrow and try and push for some answers IF things are ok- but who knows. Early night to try and make things move quicker.

fingers crossed...

Anyone else?
